Bad neighborhoods

Where are the bad parts of town, where urban exploration could be considered “dangerous” due to the nature of its location? Where are the greatest amount of homeless people? Where are a great amount of the gangs?

I know Troost and eastward are pretty heavy spots, but I didn’t know if there was any more.

I plan on exploring tomorrow in west KCMO, right across the river and wanted to know if that was a genuinely safe area.

If there are any areas you should typically avoid when exploring some bandos could you please post below?

Cheers!

The main thing is just to be aware, be cautious, and have a bit of street smarts. I wouldn't suggest carrying a weapon that can get you in some bad waters if you are caught but mace will do you just fine.

Everywhere is game to explore but you should just be aware if you're trying to attempt a abandoned housing esc building for what possibly may be inside. High crime area uses to be around 22 & prospect area. But you can get an asshole with a gun inside any abandonment even in the best areas of town.

I found that “bad neighborhoods” are likely to have watchful neighbors who call the cops on trespassers, which is more of a danger then running into a bad person. Which does happen, but it’s rare.

Northeast KC around Independence Avenue has alot of gunplay going on. Also in KCK along Quindaro Boulevard.

One time somebody popped a couple rounds off in my direction when I was on the Missouri side of the Kansas river behind Kemper Arena... that wasn't very cool.
