Introduce yr bad selves!

The member list is getting bigger, but none of the n00bs are posting! So I'm starting a thread for you because I know know it's awkward to just start posting stuff when you don't know anyone.

Look, I'll start. I'm chel sea girl. In addition to exploring (duh), I like to drive the i-435 loop, take pictures, make zines and cook dellishus vegan meals for friends.

I hope I get responses from people other than the top 10 posters on this forum (jinx).

The 435 loop? That a long ass loop. I do the 470-291-70-435 loop. It's only about a half hour. Good for late night driving, because if I get tired, I'm no more than 15 mins from my house at any point.

Interstate driving? Lame! ...and don't you care about the enviornment?

Atleast do what I do. Take the dirt road along the train tracks past the grain elevator, then veer off toward the creek. Drive up the steep dirt hill and ride along the ridge. Go up the next hill to the top. Then back down to the other tracks, drive past LRG and leave out through the gate.

I-35 to I-70 to I-435 back to I-35. Kinda a nice triangular deal. Sometimes throw I-635 in there for fun in the bulleted area of KCK.

Does that imply that there is an "un-bulleted" area of KCK?

Wow hmm.....435 loop for me. But it really only takes 45 minutes. Once when I was really bored I did the 435 - 70 - 291 - 470 loop 5 times.
I know I haven't been around much. But believe me...I'm definitely still active....

Interstate 435 is a full beltway around Kansas City at 80.81 miles. The newest section, west of I-29 and I-35, was proposed as late as 1970, at $155M for 47.4 miles. That section, however, finished around 1986. The eastern half got started in the late 1960s.

This would also imply that zebeeved was traveling at a sustained 107.75 MPH (average) for the entire 45 minutes. Wow!

I avoid loops and interstates at all costs. Luckily I live only 5 minutes from work via car (using Troost) and about 10 minutes via bike (avoiding Troost).

And as far as chel sea girl's original post...yeah, I'm another damn newbie, but I'm a nice newbie. I enjoy bike riding, frisbee throwing, and cooking vegetarian food (though around grilling season, it's all about meat....mmmm). And for a living I work as a puppeteer.

That's about it.
