Hello all. My name is Justin Kensington. Actually, in Middle School (which was very long ago), my friends were all taking their middle name and street they grew up on for a "Pornstar" name. Justin Kensington is mine and I have always been pretty proud of it. So, 13 years later, I have decided to finally break that out for use.

Alright, now that we have out of the way what my name is not, I will tell you that I live in KC and work in KS. I am a musician and self proclaimed photographer. I purchased a Fujifilm XT20 about 6 months ago and have become obsessed with photography. It's evolution in my life is a lot like drug abuse. I started out casually with friends, just shooting on the weekends and in random social situations. Next thing I know, I was thinking about shooting throughout my workday. I would hurry straight home from work and shoot with my dogs. Eventually I started bringing my equipment with me to work. I wouldn't use it during the day, but on the way to, and home from, work I would shoot from the safety of my closed and locked vehicle. It escalated to the point where I would stick a good auto-focus prime lens on and shoot while driving. Now, I am have a holster and carry my equipment around with me every where I go. I shoot on the way to work, on my lunch break, and on my way home. I go to parks, abandoned buildings, and sometimes the property of people I don't know, all to get my fix.

Anyway, I was searching the web for abandoned buildings and cool places to shoot things that everyone and their mother has not already shot, and I stumbled across this site. It seems that I may have found "my people". Or, you all will hate my introduction, kick me out, and I will go back to shooting by myself.

Irving, I have been thinking about how to go about sharing my photos without linking to my Instagram. After several minutes of pondering I remembered that I am way too lazy to create a whole new persona online. With that said, my Instagram is @ataganasamuel ... Just remember, my name is obviously still Justin Kensington, the name on my Insta is OBVIOUSLY made up!

I have yet to post any pictures of the inside of any abandoned buildings. I have a couple that I want to check out but I either haven't had the courage to go in or it was stupid cold outside. I have been wandering about a lot more recently and am very interested in this whole "meet up" situation.

Kensigton you should get a flickr! It is a great photo sharing program & it doesn't compress anything. I gave your photos a peak on IG they look good. You should create a separate account just for your exploring photos!

Welcome aboard mate. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you want to get out and about. I'm a rookie too so I'm sure we can bumble our way in to some stuff.
